7. It is the analyzing, organizing, planning and controlling of the firm's customers and activities with a view to satisfying the needs and wants of chosen consumer group at a profit.
8. It is the process of continuously and profitably satisfying the target customer's needs, wants, and expectations more superior than others.

The four stages of Economic Development:

1. Self-sufficiency stage - People look for their own goods by hunting, fishing or planting.

2. Simple barter - It is done through exchanging of own goods to others for the reason that they are not contented of what they have now.

3. Local market/Talipapa - A place where people put the surplus goods and then sell them.

4. Mass production - It is what we are practicing now. It is done in order to satisfy the needs and consumption of large consumers.

In Business and Economics: Definition of Economics

Economics is a social science which deals to the phenomena of wealth getting and wealth spending activities of man to satisfy human wants. It is a classified body of knowledge concerning human relationships, clustered about man's effort to earn a living.

Four fields of Economics:

1. Production - process of creating, adding, increasing more utilities of the goods to satisfy human wants.

2. Distribution - proper apportionment or division of the income among the social needs. (Principles of Budgeting). Example is the pie graph of the household income. It is also the proper channeling of the goods from the producer to the ultimate or final buyer.

Ang Unang Guro ni Jose Rizal

Si Teodora Alonso ay ipinanganak sa Maynila noong Nobyembre 9, 1827 sa mag-asawang Roberto Alonso at Brigida de Quintos.

Sa kabila na namayani ang mga uring Kastila noong kanyang panahon, marami sa mga Filipino ang naghangad na makatapos ng pag-aaral at kabilang si Teodora sa mga kababaihang pinahahalagahan ang karunungan. Nakapagtapos siya ng pag-aaral sa Kolehiyo de Santa Rosa.

Noong Hunyo 28, 1848, ikinasal siya kay Francisco Mercado ng Binan, Laguna. Binayayaan sila ng anim na babae at dalawang anak na lalaki. Istrikto at mapagmahal na ina si Teodora. Lahat ng kanyang anak ay hinubog niyang maging marangal at may pagmamahal sa bayan. Bilang isang maybahay, malaki ang naging tulong ni Teodora na mapaunlad ang kabuhayan nilang mag-asawa.

Malaki ang ginampanan niyang tungkulin sa maagang pagkatuto at pagkasigasig ni Rizal sa pag-aaral. Siya ang naging unang guro nito sa pagbasa. Tinuran din niya itong maging malapit sa Diyos sa pamamagitan ng pasaulo ng dasal lalong-lalo na ang pagrorosaryo.

Katulad ng anak niyang si Rizal, mahaba ang dinanas niyang pahirap mula sa mga Kastila. Noong 1871, ikinulong siya sa piitan ng Santa Cruz sa akusang pagpatay na kanyang pinagdusahan sa piitan sa loob ng dalawang taon. Hindi lamang ito ang naging habla sa kanya, maging ang pagnanakaw, paghamak sa korte, pagmamalupit sa mga tao sa kanilang lupain na pawang gawa-gawa ng mga naiinggit at may mga galit sa kanilang pamilya. Ngunit, isa-isa itong napawalang bisa sa hukuman. Tuluyan siyang napalaya sa kulungan nang makipagsayaw ang kanyang bunsong anak na babae sa Gobernador Heneral na nabighani nito.

Trust is one of the fundamental values we form as we grow up. From the time we are born, we develop a sense of trust to our parents as they care for us and sustain us for our growth. Even to the simplest of tasks we do in our everyday lives, we put a sense of trust to other people around us. For example, when we go to our workplaces we put trust to jeepney drivers and taxi drivers because we know that they will send us to our destination safely.

According to Jon Kabat-Zinn, the author of the best-selling book "Wherever you go There you are", trust is a feeling of confidence or conviction that things can unfold within a dependable framework that embodies order and integrity. We induce trust to a certain person, object or situation because we know that he will do it with integrity in mind; that a certain object will perform as objectively expected; and that a certain situation will surely pass and it will bring us good fortune.
